Central Congregational Church (first) is dedicated.

The church is located at 25 – 29 Winter Street. The congregation was established on May 6, 1835 [5/11] and met first in the Odeon Theatre. William Rogers is the first minister. A new church building (second) is built on Berkeley Street in 1867.*
